Why do you smile like you've been told a secret?

Ok, for all you new Roleplayers, this setting is in Ushinari, the special world that has been made by Sun and her people. If you do not know about this already, and your characters have not set foot in the world, you must make your post with your character walking near a volcano c:

Slow with sleep, Sun walked down the stone stair case, her eyes half open and her mind foggy with sleep. She bit back a yawn as she entered the kitchen, giving a friendly smile at the cook who immediately, stopped what he was doing, and bowed. She scratched her head and reached for the smoking cup, looking at him. "I told you, you don't have to do that." She slightly scolded, taking a soft sip of the smoking drink, and coughing softly. The cook nodded. "Yes Queen Sunaria." He replied, giving a slight bow of his head and going back to his work. Sun furrowed her eyebrows before exiting the kitchen, and going down the long hallway to the exit of the castle.

She squinted, the bright sunlight stinging her eyes. She blinked a few times, getting used to the bright scenery, and walked down the few more steps until she was on the solid ground. She took another sip of the hot drink, biting back a cough, and walked down the path that winded in between the mountains. She smiled, the busy village coming in view.
Sun glanced back sharply, her large, sensitive ears picking up a crack of a stone under ones weight, but then relaxed as she saw it was just her best friend, and 'mate', Shran. "Don't see why you always tense up when I come to say hello." He chuckled, putting an arm around her. She rolled her eyes at him. "You know very well that we all need to stay on our guard at all times." She reminded him, elbowing him softly. "Well yea but still." She added, rubbing his side. He frowned, looking at her. "You do know what day it is don't you?" He asked, her voice worried. "Yea," She sighed, thinking about turning back to hide in the castle. Sun knew what was going to happen today, she would be challenged by some fool wanting to take her position as King or Queen of the clan, for, today was the day she turned 801, and the annual tradition was to compete against ones who thought they could dethrone her. She looked at the ground, tightening her grip on the cup. Shran held her tighter. "Don't worry about it, your a tough chick." He chuckled. Sun glared at him, hating it when he used human slang. He just grinned and walked on, pulling her with him. She bit her lip, forcing her feet to carry her to the arena.

Eve quietly followed behind Sun and Shran unnoticed. She glanced around in every direction to make sure there was no danger lurking about. With a silent sigh between her bound lips, she twitched her ears a bit and tried to focus on what the two were talking about. Sun certainly did not seem pleased so it seemed, and at the same time, Shran was trying to comfort her. Eve started to wonder why Sun was so tense all of the time. She did nothing but worry and be cautious.
What's making you worry so much? She thought to herself.
Eve knew that she shouldn't be to the least bit concerned, but at the same time, she was curious in finding out why Sun was so..nervous. Taking another look around, she noticed that others were staring. Eve glared for a moment, but remembered to keep up the pace and remain quiet. The remain quiet part wasn't going to last long. She breathed heavily through her nose, and snorted at the smell of the liquid contents inside of the Sun was holding. Wonderful.

Pup peaked his head out of the well as he heard suns voice. "There she is..." he slipped out of the well with little more then a ripple and slowly approched Sun. With out a second thought he leapt on her back in the form of Fleetscout. Using his comical humor he tried to cheer her up knowing today of all days she would be her grumpiest. "I say you! Have at thee! I will take you on with one paw, two ears, and an antler behind me back, you scurvy scaly fiend. Oh i say cheer up dear, keep frowning like that and youll wrinkle." he hopped on Shrand shouldier and used his paws to make his face frown. "You wouldnt want her to ruin her good looks now would you Shrany ol' boy?" He leapt off knowing he would get hit by either one of them. He stood to his full height of 3 feet, with his head tilted.

Sun froze again at Fleets sudden appearence, but relaxed, knowing it was just him. She chuckled, his comments amusing her. Shran on the other hand, stuck his snake like tongue out at him, and pulled sun tighter, making her trip a bit. "I doubt she'd ever get frown lines with you around." He chuckled, releasing Sun. "Mmmhm." Sun mumbled, almost reaching the door to the arena. She sighed, relaxed her shoulders, and turned to them, her gray eyes slowly turning a dark green. "You all ready?" She asked, her voice shaking slightly. Shran patted her on the shoulder. "It'll be okay, just do your thing." He comforted. Sun nodded, biting her lip, and placing her hand on the door. "Here we go." She mumbled, throwing the door open and strolling out, head high.

Shran looked over at Fleet. "Come on, need to get our seats." He announced, picking up Fleet and jogging around to another door, opening it and walking up a flight of steps, then stepping out into the judge house, taking his seat at the table, and setting fleet down on the table. He took in a deep breath, seeing Sun walk out into the middle of the field. Every one in the arena stood up to bow, while Shran just clenched the side of the desk worriedly. He cleared his throat, the arena going silent. "Who dares challenge Queen Sunaria for her throne?" He roared, it echoing over the arena. It was silent for a few minutes, and just as Shran opened his mouth to speak, a male stood up, raising his clawed hand before saying. "I, Levark, Challenge Queen Sunaria for her throne."

"blondering idiot. I doubt he wins, and if there is a slight chance he does... well bye bye kindom. The idiot doesnt know his tail from his... well.... PG and all that...." He looked at Shran almost worried for Sun. "Dont worry, that girl has been through more then that Florida place has seen Hurricanes. He is a tough old braud." Fleet patted Shrans arm, feeling his anxiety.

Frost in the stands glared at Levark. "What are you doing?! You cant challenge Sun, she will polish her blade with your skin idiot! No She will make a pair of boots out of your hide and a matching belt!" He hissed to the male who stood up next to him. Really? Do people want to die that bad?! He asked through mind speak to both the male and to Sun, hoping to give her some encouragement.

Fleet turned and looked to Eve. "Best cheer for our girl down there wot? She might need it"

Eve stared at Fleet for a moment, as if debating on whether or not to say something to him. She quickly leaped onto the table and looked up at Sun. Her eyes were an intense blue and for a moment, she felt sincere.
Imagine him as someone you hate. Someone you wish you could destroy, or at least think of him as something that gets you pumped and going. That usually makes you stronger, but don't get too excited. You might lose control of your actions and get taken over by your emotions. Eve whispered into Sun's mind.
She broke the eye contact with Sun and glanced up at Levark. He didn't seem to be showing any emotion of fear or anxiety on his face. Surely he knew he would die today.
Eve looked back at Sun, and offered an encouraging nod. Her kindness would soon pay off.

Sun heard Eves whispers and nodded slightly, clenching her fists. She felt a smirk come upon her face as her dark green eyes started to glow. "And do you, Sunaria, accept this challenge?" She could hardly hear Shran over her instincts. "Yes, I accept the challenge." She hissed, flicking her tongue out, her eyes now fully green. She took a few paces back, making room for Levark. His face was like a stone, showing no emotion, and that just put Sun's guard on higher. She raised her upper lip, baring her teeth and crouching low, while he just stood up stiff and straight, eyes locked on Sun. "Let the battles begin!" Shran roared. Suns ears twitched slightly as they began circling, waiting for each others moves. "You dare dance the Ra'zur'Ra (Dance of death) with your Queen?" She hissed, her voice was icy and cold, not at all like her normal, it was in fact, her dragon voice, intended to strike fear into him. He did nothing but flinch slightly, but continued the circle, his eyes locked. She grinned, her most wicked, evil grin she had ever pasted on her face before. Levarks lip twitched, and not a second after it, he leaped, sending a mental blow while in mid air. Sun was ready for it though, blocking the mental blow and swinging her arm around in such a motion, it knocked him out of the air and slammed him on the ground, creating a loud 'thud'. Sun heard the air escape his mouth, and immediately sent a mind attack of her own, only making a slight crack in his mental barrier. She hissed and jumped away, barley dodging and hit from him. "You know you can always forfeit." She mocked. She was now so close to the ground she was nearly crawling in the circle, crawling like a wild animal awaiting to attack its meal. He leaped again, and Sun jumped to meet him halfway, but misjudged his weight and was sent crashing to the ground, his body nearly crushing hers. He held her down, sending multiple mind attacks, while Sun squirmed, focusing more on blocking her mind then getting out. "ALVIAR NEEEECTA" She roared. A bright green burst of light exploded, sending him flying into the wall.

Shran jumped up, seeing Sun being pinned on the ground, his lip raised. He clenched the desk harder, and sitting back down, the wood of the desk making cracking sounds as it started to break under his grip.

His eyes widened, seeing the burst of light. Worry soon clouded over him, even more then before, knowing Sun would have lossed a ton of energy from the spell, and would leave her mind barrier weaker then before. He ran his hand through his hair, biting back the urge to storm out there and help Sun, but he knew, that would be breaking the rules of the battle, and that only made him want to go out there more. "Oh Sun, don't do anything stupid." He muttered, digging his claws in the wood.

"OOOh! Bother dash! this is nerve ranking aint it chaps? seeing our friend out there. and aint nothin we can do to help her. I cant stand it!" Fleet bobbed up and down on his hind legs fighting the urge after years of living with Sun to do and help her. All he could do was fidget and twist his ears in horror as Sun fought on her own.

Down in the stands Frost was no better. Watching his cousin fight for more then the thrown was almost to much for him. "Hang In There Sun!" He called to her. The thought of loosing the last of his family, the only person who cared about him made him choke up. He shook the thought away and continued to urge Sun on from the roaring crowd.

Concentrate. Eve hiss harshly at Sun.
By the looks of the action, the two were almost equally challenged. Surely, Sun would be able to pull herself together before making such a chaotic and powerful move. Levark was stunned, and slumped against the wall, but still slightly breathing. Sun was breathing heavily. To Eve, they both looked exhausted and almost too weak to continue.
Come on. Finish him off. Breath deeply and focus on your energy. You can do it. Eve urged.
The atmosphere was tense. Sun looked worn out, and Levark looked like he was ready to pass out or die. Either would be fine, though the sooner this battle was over, the better.

Sun panted, resting her hands on her knees and taking deep breathes. She reached in her cloak, putting a hand on the green emerald on her sword, and sucked in the stored energy, enough to finish the traitor. Her anger flared up as she stormed over to him, her eyes still completley green with anger and the want, the need to kill. She raised her upper lip, sending the final blow to his mind barrior, and sucking in not only his energy, but his life force. His eyes widened in shock, the same moment Sun heard the scream of terror from the crowd. She stopped the drain, but put her foot on his chest, and looked through the crowed, seeing a panicked female, screaming in terror. She snarled. The female knew the rules. Levark knew them too. And Sun had one, and she had to do what the winners did. She took in one last 'gulp' of the energy, and watched as his eyes clouded over, his chest stop moving. Sun took a step back, the extra energy filling her back up from the blast of power. She placed her hand on the wall and looked away. Her orriginal self was coming back, and she felt horrible. She hated these competitions, she hated killing her people for the throne. That, in fact, was one of the reasons she ran away. She took in a shuddery breath and walked out of the arena.

Shran let out a sigh of relife, slumping down into the chair and holding his head in his hands. He looked up, hearing a door slam. He sighed. "Fleet, mind cheering her up?" He more commanded then asked.

He walked down the stairs, looking for Eve and Frost while trying not to be trampled by the crowd that was leaving.

"Right o left o" No sooner had he said that was he out of the judges area and down to Sun. "Cheer up Sun, it had to be done. The blighter would have killed you if ya didnt. Oh i know!" He took water out of the air and a green substance he wanted to be kept secret. He formed them into a rose with the green stuff floating around near the center. "Here have a smell." Sun sniffed the ice rose and looked at him quizingly. "Thats pond scum from Pups toes..." He gave an evil smile at his little prank/joke.

Eve slowly turned towards Shran. His expression seemed worried.
What worries you so? She's alive. Eve shrugged.
But she knew the answer. Sun could have been killed. The chance wasn't likely, but it was still possible. Shran worried too much, Eve knew. She offered a a sly grin and trotted up to his side, looking up at him while they walked.
You know, if you would stop worrying, she might be able to calm down as well... Eve suggested and shrugged again.
The crowd started to approach closer than expected and Eve narrowed a threatening glare at them. Nobody was in the mood for a loud, obnoxious group of people trying to ask questions or get shoved around. A deadly silence lingered in the air until the crowd finally turned and walked away. Eve let out a sigh of relief and focused her attention back on Shran. He seemed too quiet. It was a while before he spoke again.

Sun crinkled her nose and bit back the erdge to strangle Fleet, apparently, all of her instincts had not died down yet. She took a deep breath and crossed her arms, nearly getting knocked over by a villager. With a quick apologie and a bow, the villager left, and left Sun to start walking towards the castle. "It's not that." She murmured. "Those challenges, can make people love you, and hate you.." She trailed off, hoping their wouldn't be protests or riots like she remembered when she was little. She shook her head and focused on the winding path, not wanting to trip over any fallen rocks. She let out a sigh, walking towards the garden instead of the entrance. She plopped down on a bench, moving her foot so Fleet could use it to jump on the bench as well. She looked at a statue, the statue that happened to be her father. "Wounder what he wou-" She broke off, freezing. "What if the other clans are still out there? And plotting to attack?" Her heart began to thump wildly. How could she be so stupid? She had completely forgotten about them! "I-I-I gotta send spies, set more gaurds out by the portal-" She stopped rambling alloud and let the thoughts come to her mind instead of out loud. What if there were spies here? What if Levark was a spy? "Oh. My. Gosh." She mumbled, holding her face and taking a long shuttery breath in attempt to calm down.

Shran sighed, closing his eyes for a second, and relaxed his shoulders. "Your right." He mumbled. His eyes lit up at a sudden idea. "Hey, Hows'about we go human hunting?" He suggested, grinning. "Haven't been on one of them in a while". He chuckled, remembering the last one. "Then tomorrow Sun and I need to talk to the teachers about a field trip to the elven lands, leave the hatchlings there for about a month, let them learn things there." He soon found himself rambling, and shut his mouth, slightly ashamed. He snuck a glance at Eve. You think If I ask Sun to be my mate, she will say yes? He asked through mind speak, not wanting any one to over hear. I've been wanting to ask her, but...eh He opened the door to the library and sat down on one of the couches, scratching his head and thinking.

I'd enjoy hunting. Eve smiled at the thought of slaughtering some innocent human just for a taste of blood.
She paused for a moment when Shran had asked her that question and thought it over in her mind. Surely the boy was desperate for her. And Sun was for him as well.
Honestly, I do think she'll say yes. I've seen the way she looks at you. I don't see why not, and besides it's worth a shot. Eve grinned at him and leaped up onto the couch, laid next him and rested her chin on his lap.
Would Sun really say yes? Of course she would. Eve didn't think she'd ever be able to turn Shran down. But what would happen if she did, she thought. All Hell would break loose. Shran would be miserable, and quite frankly, she was not okay with that. Eve flickered her eyes up at Shran and tried to read any emotion shown across his face. Deep in thought, of course.
Why don't we go hunting now? It will help clear up your thoughts. She said. Half because it was true, and half because she hadn't realized how much she was yearning for blood at the moment.

"I say, why not go for a walk? Pup dearly loves the Hunt.... Not fond of it my self, But! Im sure pup is game." Fleet hopped off and Pup took over. He streched slightly, and stayed with his front paws low in a playful stance. "Come on! Lets go hunt elk or you can have a little Human snack." He stuck his tounge out and wagged his tail. Anything, just stop acting insain, thats my job!

Sun lifted her head, blinking. "That'd be good, need to check the population anyway.." She mumbled, standing up. "Sounds good." She finally announced right before turning into the large black wolf with blazing green eyes. She linked her mind with Pup, not being able to speak in this form annoyed her, but at least she could talk with others. She shook out her fur and narrowed her eyes playfully at Pup. Race 'ya! She yelled in his mind, taking off in the direction of the human village, straying away from the dirt path and climbing/jumping over fallen rocks from the mountains, or stray plants.

She squinted, the bright sun nearly blinding her, seeing she was in the shade of the mountains for so long. Not far ahead.. She mumbled in her mind, slowing her pace slightly to where it was a silent trot, keeping her body low and sniffing the air, waiting for any sign from a human.

Shran nodded, standing up. "Sounds good to me." He whispered, remembering that he was in fact, in a library. He walked over to the door, holding it open for Eve, then he himself walked out, turning in the direction of the forest. He blinked, thinking if he should change his form, or just run. Haven't gone full out in a while.. He thought, looking up at the cloudless sky. He grinned. "Run or be carried?" He asked, walking rather fast towards an empty space to turn.

Carried? Eve snorted while walking outside. Hah, you must be out of your mind if you think that I'd tolerate that. She added.
Eve stared ahead at a clearing in the rather empty forest. Although it appeared to be quiet, she very much knew that there were humans wandering about. Possibly a few lost hikers, and groups of travellers. Eve could already imagine the amount of blood that was going to be spilled within a few moments. Her mouth watered at the very thought of the thick, red liquid pooling in her throat. It was then that she realized her mouth was still tightly bound together. She snook a glance at Shran and hoped he noticed that he still had to removed the "muzzle". Eve didn't feel like asking nicely. At least not now, when she was lusting for blood.

Pup crashed into Sun. "ow whats with the stopping?" He looked around at the calm forest and seemed to relaxe with it. /Mmm this is nice. but i would rather be swimming.../

Hush you! She growled into his mind, flicking her tail in his face. You know They've adapted! They can hear better! She then reminded, staying hidden in the talll grass.

A sudden rustle in the trees ahead brought her to a stop, her belly touching the ground and her eyes staring intently in the direction. She flicked her tail, warning Pup to be still. I'll circle around and chase him to you, then you lunge. She ordered, pacing slowly in a spaced out circle around the next target.

Fully behind the human, she gathered her muscles, ready to start the chase, when suddenly, a large shake shook the earth, sending the human immediatley running away. She growled, turning into her orriginal form. "What the hell?!" She cursed, storming out of the forest to see what happened. Her ears laid flat, seeing that huge bulky dragon land not too far away. "Can you be any more louder?!" She yelled, walking up to Shran. He let out a loud rumble, closing his eyes as if laughing. She narrowed her eyes, trying to keep a straight face, but the attempt failed, and she just ended up chuckling.

"Suit yourself!" He called to Eve, leaping in mid air and exploding in the bright blue light, leaving behind a huge, black dragon, flapping his wings fast and hard to gain speed. He glanced down at Eve, letting out a low rumble of laughter at how much she would miss out. Looking forward, her switched his eye site to thermal, looking for the red dots of humans, but instead of humans, saw the unmistakable, Sun. He let out the low chuckle again, soaring down towards the ground, getting ready to land. Oh shes not going to like this He thought, grinning. And with that, he dropped, hitting the ground with a hard thud, making the very ground shake. "What the hell?!"Was the first thing he heard when he landed, then saw Sun march up to him, anger and frustration in her eyes. He grinned at her next comment, then laughed with her as her mystical laugh filled his ears, warming his heart. He turned back to his original form, grabbing her quickly and pulling her into a hug. Of course, she stiffened, then relaxed, and made his smile turn into a frown. "Chillax it's just me, you can trust me." He sighed, hugging her tighter. She, of course, rolled her eyes. "Well are we going to hunt or not?" She quickly asked, changing the subject. He frowned even more, not knowing what was wrong with her lately, I mean, sure, its her birth day, and she nearly died, but she was always like this, and that always confused Shran, making him think she was hiding something... He quickly shoved the thought away, knowing Sun would never betray him. But somehow, a nagging thought still stayed in the back of his mind.

Eve chuckled to herself and ran after the direction Shran had gone. Her petite paws thudded loudly against the ground as she forced her long strides harder. There was a loud rumbling sound, and sure enough, Shran had chased off prey. Just wonderful. Scare the blood away why don't you? Eve muttered to herself.
Though she was slightly angered, Eve managed a slight grin when she heard Sun's reaction to the loud noise Shran had made. Slowly, she eased to a stop and glanced up at the two, and made a slight motion towards her man made muzzle. With an irritated snarl, she glared at Shran. Never. Scare the prey away. Never. She hissed in his mind.

Pup dog trotted up, "And the big butt scared off the human great job o stealthy dragon!" He called to Shran as he had his way to Eve. "" cant hunt like that now can you?" He pulled it off as gentaly as he could. "There go wild." He turned back to the two, in an impatient way. He then thought half to himself, half mainly to Sun. I miss Kaze....

Suns head jerked around at Pups thought, and a sudden pang of hurt hit her, but, she kept a straight face, moving away from Shran. "She has her life, we have ours. We respect each others privacy." She stated, even though she was dieing to see her. She shoved the thoughts away and turned to them. "Well lets go." She ordered, pulling her dark green cloak all around her, even putting the hood over her eyes. She walked/jogged into the woods, and once in the shade of the large trees, it was harder to see her. The dark green of the material blended in well with the forest around her, and kept her disguised.

Pup with a sudden sad heart, followed Sun. Keeping his glow off, he used his nose, more then his eyes to find Sun. Years of practice vanished as sudden memories flooded his mind, blocking his view and most senses. He forced himself to stop, and take deep breathes. Breathe, gotta keep it together Pup. Feeling slightly better he ran to catch up to Sun. Unknowingly his mind was still blurry, and he ran into a tree. Oh thats it! Not caring who was around, he lifted his leg on the tree. Take that! "O shit! SUUUN!" He took off running as the tree seemed to come to life.

Eve quickly snapped her head back once her mouth was free and ignored the blood that dripped from her snout. She inhaled a deep breath and grinned viciously. At first she followed Sun and the others once they were on the trail, until she smelt the human that had been chased off. A low and muffled snarl of excitement rumbled through her throat, and she started to sprint after the scent of blood. The human was scared, Eve could tell that much, and he was close too. She glanced around and noticed that the others were no longer in site, however, the human was.
"Who's a chick chick chick? Who's a chick chick chicken?" Eve taunted. "Come here chicken, I only want to play." She slowly stalked forward and kept her glare pinned on the humans' eyes.
Another growl escaped her throat, and just as the human turned to run, she lunged forward. Even though she was small, she managed to reach his shoulders and bring him to the ground. Eve's lips watered and without thinking, she bit into his throat, and inhaled the blood. Slowly, the body began to go limp and cold. Satisfied, Eve lifted her lips from the humans' throat and turned towards where Sun was.
"What the HELL is that?" She muttered.

Suns head jerked around, seeing Pup run towards her. Her ears pinned back. "Quiet you id-!" She suddenly stopped, hearing, and feeling, the earth move and shake under her. She lifted the hood off, looking behind him. She turned her glare at Pup, then looked back at the tree making its way over here. She gave one last glare to Pup before walking forward to the tree and holding out a hand that said 'stop'. "Nerva." She ordered. (Stop). And the tree stopped, but made one loud noise of bark grinding bark as it settled back down in the soil. She sighed. "Well the humans are all scared off by now." She growled, clenching her fists.

Shran raised his eyebrows at Pup after Sun stalked off back towards the city, then jerked his head up, looking around for Eve. Eve? He called, suddenly starting to get worried about her.
